About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Breast Cancer Nursing team at Christchurch Outpatients, located on Christchurch Hospital Campus. In this role you will have the ability to improve the experience for patients with suspected or diagnosed breast care and their whānau. We are seeking a Registered Nurse preferably with a minimum of three years general surgery or other relevant experience. We are seeking a Registered Nurse preferably with wound care, drain care and procedural assistance experience but please do not hesitate to apply if you are at an early stage in your career.
This role will work rostered shifts, scheduled across Monday to Friday (8am/9am to 4:30pm/5:30pm), no nights or weekends/public holidays are required.

About You
You will be an energetic and reliable person and work proactively to provide high-quality patient care. You should have excellent time management and be able to work well within a team.
Skills and Experience:
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Minimum of 3 years General Surgery or General Medicine experience
- Wound and drain care, procedural assistance experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
