We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Commercial Manager Redevelopment to provide financial governance, analysis and project accounting oversight for all operational and capital expenditure relating to Redevelopment Construction projects.  

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality financial insights, supporting decision-making, leading forecasting and budgeting processes, and identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes.

You will act as a trusted advisor to our Construction Delivery teams and work closely with the wider Finance teams to ensure Project financials are well understood and right controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead financial oversight of Construction projects.
•    Monitor and analyse project budgets, forecasts at completion, commitments and contract spend and cost-to-complete estimates.
•    Identify cost risks, overruns, and financial exposures. Provide early warnings to Project teams.
•    Ensure compliance with accounting standards and capitalisation policies.
•    Support adherence to project governance frameworks.
•    Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
•    Support month-end, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
•    Ensure integrity of project financial data within ERP/Oracle/financial systems.
•    Lead and develop finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
•    Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
•    Support month-end, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
You are a commercially minded finance professional with strong business partnering skills and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.

Requirements:
•    Chartered Accountant qualified or a similar qualification together with demonstrated experience working in a business or financial management role
•    7+ years’ experience supporting large capital programs
•    Demonstrated ability to identify, collect, organise and analyse complex data to provide information and enable decision-making
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
