Mō te tūranga | About the role
To succeed in this role, you will be focussed on providing support to the Pou Ngā Whenua Rāhui, Pou Hēteri-Ā-Nuku and the Ngā Whenua Rāhui and Hēteri-Ā-Nuku kaimahi. You will need to be a smart, tech-savvy operator with strong prioritisation, warm communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people to ensure the Pou and kaimahi you support are successful in their role.
Key responsibilities include:
- administer and maintain team systems and processes
- provide administrative support including diary and email management, planning and event management
- support team members with travel and accommodation arrangements
- preparing documentation including presentations, task assignments, reports and briefings
- supporting taskforces, including taking minutes of meetings
- coordinate fleet management at office sites
- basic knowledge of budget management
- establishing and managing relationships with key stakeholders externally and within DOC.

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:
- proven aptitude in an administrative role
- initiative and thoughtfulness
- knowledge/understanding of Government is helpful but not essential
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- highly effective planning and organisational skills
- strong customer service focus
- expertise using the Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- knowledge and experience in planning and organising projects.
Desirable:
- ability to speak or understand te reo is highly desirable
- current full New Zealand driver's licence.

Salary: $65,590-$82,000, depending on skills and experience.
