As part of a wider change within New Zealand Post Shared Services we are creating a customer centric and efficient way to structure our “people teams” so we have our people at the centre of everything we do.

In this role, you'll be providing leadership, workload management and customer service expertise to the Payroll Support functions and working with the projects/business improvement teams and HR advisory (People Assist) team, support functions and business centre of excellence to ensure compliance and interpretation issues are resolved and our people are paid timely and accurately.

You'll be running an efficient payroll team which is customer centric and focused on increasing and implementing efficiencies across the payroll function, including introducing continuous improvement across the team and making it easy for our customers.

You will need to own and execute the vision for the evolution of our payroll function and while you will have techncial capability (we have one of New Zealand's largest and most complex payroll)- you will be passionate and experienced around leadership of teams and development of individuals to create a culture that puts the customer first - and drives strong performance.

A critical part of the role relates to building and maintaining collaborative relationships with business units and actively seeking customer feedback as well as ensuring that the needs of the various business units are met.
