As a Service Delivery Manager in Napier, Hastings or Gisborne, you'll be working closely with the Area Service Delivery Manager, focused on ensuring the delivery of all products and services offered by New Zealand Post meet our service standards and customers' expectations.  This is a fast paced and challenging role with oversight of a mix of contractors and employees including: Delivery Agents, Couriers, Rural Delivery Contractors, Contract Posties and a Box Lobby.  You will also have a Service Delivery Coordinator and a Service Delivery Support reporting to you.

You'll be a key point of contact for customers, including dealing with escalations and proactively seeking out opportunities for growth and customer service enhancement.

Our core business hours are Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required recognising the 24/7 nature of our organisation.

 

What skills and experience are we looking for? 

We're looking for a standout leader with a “can do” attitude, who puts the customer at the front of everything they do to ensure nothing gets in the way of delivering what our people care about.

  • Leadership experience in an operational/service delivery environment
  • Experience managing a large group of both contractors and employees
  • Proven experience in driving optimum team performance in a highly customer driven environment
  • Strength in building customer relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgets, financial and analytical skills.
  • Significant experience with health and safety
