About the team:
Our International Business team is ultimately responsible for all parcels, freight and letters, that originate in or are being sent to countries outside of New Zealand. The team is predominantly based in NZ, Australia and Singapore. Our customers are some of the biggest countries and companies in the world and we're often on the bleeding edge of eCommerce. We have high expectations, run lean, and work hard to be the best we can.

So, what will I be doing?
You'll spend your time providing commercial support for the wider international business and especially for contractual relationships. You'll often be the single point for helping our sales teams find the right balance between our needs and the best outcomes for our customers.  Reviewing business cases and advising on the deal.  Our contracts can be complex - often bi-lateral or multi-lateral.    We have a great legal team to use, so you won't need to bring that level of expertise.

What makes this role great?
You'll be playing and winning with some of the biggest countries and companies in the world. Our work is interesting, complex and unique. You'll get involved in shaping the success of our international business and be part of our future ecommerce business. We want you to feel part of a team, so it's your opportunity to get involved and make some work friends.

A bit about you:
You'll be the kind of person that people describe as tenacious. You'll feel comfortable at the 'pointy' end of making deals and will have operated within a target driven environment.  You'll be keen to challenge things and will be used to working with people that at times can be a stretch to keep up with. Intellectually challenging work will be essential for you, and you'll feel at home around commercial agreements where your analytical (you will love numbersl) skills are used to drive commercial outcomes and support future development of profitable business. Ideally you will have gained your skills from within a complex organisation where you could have been involved in a variety of backgrounds - trade negotiations; policy; supporting commercial agreements; contract negotiations; development of new markets or working with strategic agreements.

One thing to note - our business is international, sometimes we'll be working at night and taking time off during the day – but we're flexible about when you fit your 40 hours in so long as there's enough overlap with the rest of us.

Applications close on 27 June 2018.
