There are many of us - involved in postal, banking, communication, data management, logistics and distribution services - helping New Zealand run.  We are in the midst of transformational change and with that comes new challenges from a safety and wellbeing perspective and we have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced practitioner to join us as a Manager, Safety & Wellbeing Portfolio & Projects.

About the role:

  • As part of the S&W Leadership Team, this newly created role will take primary responsibility for maintaining the S&W portfolio - facilitating the selection and prioritisation of new initiatives and activity and ensuring alignment with business strategy. 
  • You'll have oversight of the S&W Management System ensuring all aspects (policies, standards and guidelines) are current or scheduled for regular review and consistent with the culture, vision and strategy, while also holding accountability for S&W measures and metrics.
  • Acting as the interface between NZ Post, the vendor and internal stakeholders, you'll have responsibility for the S&W Technology Solution.
  • All while executing assigned projects throughout full project life-cycle from initiation to closure, via appropriate methodology.

A bit about you:

  • Key to your success in this role will be your extensive experience executing multiple projects from start to finish. 
  • You'll be an experienced and passionate professional with the ability to take ownership of these projects and build relationships with our leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Technically you'll have sound data and business analyst skills and while not essential, previous experience with Business Intelligence reporting, Vault or Advanced Excel is desirable. 
  • A passion for, or previous experience in an HR or Safety & Wellbeing /Health & Safety role will be an advantage.
