About the role:

eCommerce is a growing global market and is now twice the size it was five years ago.  In NZ, Kiwis continue to embrace online shopping and last year spent over $3.6bn online. In this role within the Business Marketing team, you will own the development, delivery and lifecycle management of products and services that form NZ Post's domestic parcels portfolio. With a passion for sustainability, you will lead initiatives to meet New Zealand Post's sustainable packaging commitments. You will be a key driver in managing and developing product capability that addresses our customer needs, collaborating with the wider group in aspiring to be the best delivery business for New Zealand.

In this role, you will:

  • Define product visions and strategies, identify new product opportunities and own product roadmaps
  • Own and report on product performance based on commercial, customer and market metrics
  • Ensure product readiness, that operational processes are robust and all customer touchpoints support a great customer experience
  • Lead and co-ordinate product delivery and change to ensure stakeholders are clear on outcomes and the value to be delivered
  • Be the advocate for the product and actively engage across the business to ensure optimal commercial and customer outcomes are achieved
  • Work closely with business segment managers to understand and address different customer segment needs
  • Manage the product lifecycle and drive activity and outcomes based on the stage of the product - ranging from NPD through to product retirement.  This includes leading different product groups and projects when the need arises

A bit about you:

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience managing products and/or services and the capability to work across teams that span functional departments, preferably in a large organisation. We're looking for someone who is an energetic and organised self-starter, who acts with customers in mind whilst driving change and delivering commercial outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You'll have the ability to master the inner workings of complex products, and thrive while working in this environment. You'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to interact well with others and provide support to ensure the smooth running of your business function. Excellent knowledge of product management and digital marketing will be highly valued in this role.
