This is a career development role for a tester with a love of or background in Development, this role is pivotal in assisting NZ Post to provide our customers with the highest levels of service. As a Tester within the Customer Communications Management (CCM) team you will be directly accountable for working with a Service Delivery Manager or Customers to understand their pain points, test to mitigate them and work with customers and the wider team to provide solutions.

Our customers come from a wide spectrum of industries including large financial institutions, insurance organisations, National & Local government and energy & utility multi-nationals. Our CCM team work with our customers to offer integrated communication channels that ensure their communication with their clients is of the highest quality possible. Our success in providing that demanding service level is demonstrated by the fact we are the largest provider in New Zealand and provide services to the largest and most successful organisations across the country.

Our Test Analysts are an integral part of that service. As a Test Analyst within the CCM team you'll be responsible for delivering quality changes across a variety of platforms through analysis, planning, creation and execution. Our Test Analysts enjoy the challenge of providing a range of testing services including functional, system, integration, application and print/mail to a wide range of organisations and industries. Our project size typically ranges from 2-200 testing hours, however we do occasionally get the 300+ hour testing pieces. The role requires someone who can multi-task and thrives in a challenging environment that offers variety.

Requirements to ensure success in the role:

  • A desire to and love of delivering solutions to customers with the ability to build strong, effective working relationships, both internally and externally
  • As communication is such a core component of the role, the successful individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Our ideal candidate will have knowledge or a background in Development (of…)
  • Previous experience in Systems Testing or System Integration Testing
  • Proven capability in a variety of environments testing software functionality including estimating, writing test plans, test designs and test exit reports
  • Comfortable with producing and identifying gap analysis, traceability matrix and data mapping
  • An ISTQB qualification is highly advantageous
  • Agile training/qualification is highly advantageous
