The opportunity:

The People Experience and Communications function is creating a new team, with a clear, measurable vision and purpose. Our role is to directly contribute to developing the best delivery business for NZ, delivering what people care about – by contributing to building the ‘best people business for NZ' with a strong NZ Post brand and reputation.​

Our focus will be on defining and building ‘who we are', what we do and how we do things.​   We will make it easy for people to do their jobs,  where work is enjoyable, leaders are able to lead positively, teams and individuals are engaged and thrive and we connect with the public over the role we play in online shopping and our mail service.

As part of this change, we have two new Senior Communications Advisor positionsto help us make a real difference to how people feel and what they know about NZ Post, how engaged our workforce is and how happy they are at work.

Together we will work differently, connect and influence across the organisation and prioritise work based on where it will have the most impact. ​

The role:

These roles are all about connecting our people and the public with what we do at NZ Post.

You'll provide strategic and tactical communications expertise to enable us to share what we do internally and externally, manage and mitigate risk and support leaders to lead.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing advice and support for leader-led communications, enabling and equipping leaders to communicate
  • Developing communications strategies and plans and implement tactical communications activity
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating communications risks and opportunities
  • Developing content in all forms and styles (visual, audio, written, digital).

One of these roles will also be responsible for the people leadership of a Communications Advisor.

You'll be a proud and passionate communications operator who is used to working across a large and complex organisation, preferably with an operational focus. Knowing and understanding your audience will always be your priority, providing advice, strategies and tactics that make a real difference.
