Our People Assist team handle all things related to looking after New Zealand Post's people, by supporting our leaders through a range of important HR functions and offering expert guidance and support.  We have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for an outstanding, enthusiastic HR administrator to join our People Assist team.

What will you do?

You'll be involved in a diverse range of HR administration activities including preparing offer letters and job change documentation, internal recruitment, the practical interpretation and application of HR policies and practices, providing administration of systems such as our remuneration tool (pivot), position management (in Ascender) and learning management system (learning zone).  You will also liaise with our payroll and technology teams and prepare ad-hoc business reports.

In this role, you'll be able to get involved in project work, including providing administration support for change management and our reward and recognition programme.

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy – this is a high volume, deadline driven environment.  You will have a strong commitment to providing great service to your colleagues and customers and will showcase your ability to manage confidential and sensitive information. 

You will have a minimum of two years working within an HR related role in a large organisation, we're especially interested if you have experience with recruitment and change processes and have worked with complex HR and payroll systems.
