Playing a key role in supporting the Government Chief Digital Officer and the strategy for the Digital Public Service, we are looking for talent who can work collaboratively to leverage our people and technology, to improve and drive for a unified digital public service for all New Zealanders.
About the role:
In this newly created role the Subject Matter Expert Modeler will build the right foundations for Government Agencies to adopt and use standard business process across their enterprise projects and initiatives, ensuring there is a connected insight to empower all related decision and actions.
You will bring a continuous improvement mindset and be a subject matter expert with in-depth end-to-end business process knowledge within one of the sub models (HR, Procurement, Finance), providing hands on support to identify problems, capture and document issues and articulate change. We are looking for someone who values being part of a strong team culture and can take a collaborative approach to quickly foster credibility and engagement with all our stakeholders. The right individual will bring a systems mindset and be able to see where the business drivers, processes and technology will link in to achieve the overall strategy.,
What will you bring to the role?
Considerable experience within your field of expertise to be able to design, architect, help identify and optimise decision and process models through to implementation
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of governance frameworks/models and systems
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and deliver detailed information in plain language
Consulting and/ or systems architecture background in large and complex environments
Be able translate and accurately communicate business requirements to improve the quality of our delivery ensuring our stakeholders are provided with timely, professional & sustainable relationships
A "Can do attitude" - takes ownership of the task, is accountable for the result and responsible along the way
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and foster partnerships with technology, other agencies and the business to design and build implementation solutions
Pragmatic and solutions focused with the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
Have well-developed time management and organisational skills to manage resources, processes and activities within agreed deliverables
Bring strong analytical, conceptual and creative problem-solving skills including experience in providing recommendations, analysis and improvements
