Currently, we are on the hunt of an Intermediate Java Developer to join our sophisticated and supportive team at Datam.
Working at Datam - the customer communications arm of NZ Post - you'll join one of the largest customer communications management businesses in New Zealand. We manage the interaction between many of New Zealand's largest organisations; Government Agencies and their customers.
We've got experienced people working in an agile environment and engaging with our customers across multiple channels. Our customer's communication data is processed and formatted by our market-leading technology into meaningful communications. A big focus for us now is on our digital technology as our customers require options that complement traditional print channels.
About the role
As the successful person in this role you'll provide software development for web-based document delivery systems, along with designing and building database applications. You'll set standards, monitor performance and identify and resolve technical issues based on our customers' needs.
You'll apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle with elements of Agile methodology to the work stream to achieve optimal efficiencies and research future applications and technologies for document archiving, document management and workflow systems.
A bit about you
To succeed in this role, you'll have a few years' experience working in a Java environment role. You'll need to have experience in database management and database application development, web development and software Development Life Cycle.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and you'll be used to dealing directly with customers, and asking the right questions to solve problems.
