About the role
Our Group Accounting team work hard (and have fun) to provide financial commercial leadership and stewardship, the team are viewed as subject matter experts and work to assist our business to improve commercial performance and manage financial risk.
Over the 10-month period, you will be responsible for generating accurate financial information through monthly general ledger journals, as well as through the preparation of impeccable monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Driving process improvement and ensuring strong internal controls and robust financial reporting is a key part of this role, and you will work in a close-knit team to share your knowledge and support junior team members to raise the bar for the whole team.
Of course, you'll have a tertiary qualification in Accounting, and we'd like to see your experience in a medium to large firm with a strong technical accounting and audit background. You'll know financial accounting standards, and have proven experience putting together financial statements and standards. You will understand the complexities of a large, commercial organisation, how to operate within a big, high-performing team, and how to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
