Management Accountant at New Zealand Post, Wellington

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As part of our wider finance team, and reporting to the Business Advisory Manager - Customer, you'll be responsible for a portfolio which sees you partnering with them on key finance matters.  You'll support and drive them towards better outcomes around financial management, performance, investment and ongoing strategic and commercial management decisions. 

You'll also draw on your management accounting background when it comes time to month end reporting and then working with the business around the insights and what it all means. 

There will also be a variety of ad hoc and project work to get your teeth stuck into.  Variety is the key in this role.

Mōu - About you

As an experienced management accountant, you'll have cut your teeth in either a Big 4 environment or gained solid commercial experience in large or complex organisations and be ready for your next step.

You'll couple this with

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present information for a variety of audiences
  • Being adept at dealing with ambiguity  

It goes without saying but we'll say it anyway, you'll be CA qualified (or equivalent), and you'll know your way around Excel like the back of your hand.
