The Treasury provides a range of I&T services to itself and to Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). Within IT, our Applications Team designs, develops and maintains software-based solutions ranging from web applications and databases to desktop and cloud applications.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
We have a rare opportunity for an ambitious BI Developer to work with the us on the following:
- Develop the data platform including automating data pipelines and the overall design of the data warehousing solution
- Work with customers across the business to acquire, store and model data
- Improve access to data and enable self-service
Ō pūmanawa | About You
We are seeking a well-rounded candidate with real world experience of working with the Microsoft data platform. You will also bring:
- Experience or knowledge in modern/cloud data warehousing solutions
- Ability to deliver BI solutions using Microsoft stack applications including Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, SQL, and Power BI.
- Deliver BI, Data Warehousing, ETL, and data solutions including analysis, data modelling, and solution design
- Assist business users to develop dashboards, reports and insights using Power BI
- Experience in using Azure Cloud and M365 advantageous.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
- The ability to influence and work with a range of stakeholders.
