Do you have the ability to create win-win solutions and resolve conflicts?

Would analysing information and providing robust recommendations appeal to you?

Permanent part-time role (20 hours/week) available ACC (Auckland, Wellington or Hamilton)

We are looking for a practicing Psychiatrist to join ACC in a permanent, part-time (20 hours/week) role as an Advisory Psychiatrist within our Clinical Services team. This is a unique role that will allow you to liaise with service providers as well as ACC Case Owners to review and advise on treatment for active client cases. For our Case Owners, you will provide an expert eye when you are asked to review relevant aspects of a case and provide advice or recommendations. ACC s providers will see you as a valuable resource as they seek advice on how to work best with ACC, how to write (or improve) reports for us, and provide advice around service development, etc.

You ll be a critical component in a multi-disciplinary team and will work closely with your colleagues. As such, a cooperative, delivery-oriented outlook will serve you well in this role. Liaising with Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Medical Advisors and Rehabilitation Advisors, you ll provide written psychiatric advice for cases you re asked to consult on. It s a great opportunity to take a step away from face-to-face interaction and use your expertise to provide an advisory service to Case Owners and providers to facilitate client recovery.
