Senior Assurance Advisor Perm, Wellington, closes 12 January 2018

If you have strong technical auditing skills and advisory capability in programme assurance, IT and general business operations, you could be the Senior Assurance Advisor we are looking for. The Assurance team s services are designed to support ACC to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.

Your day to day work will involve BAU activities such as operational reviews of internal systems. Project work will include design assurance reviews, ensuring that potential solutions are fit for purpose, planning to set out objectives and milestones necessary for a successful implementation, and pre-implementation reviews, ensuring that all testing has been successfully completed, so that everything is ready and works when systems go live.

You ll be an inquisitive, critical thinker who is able to communicate across different business groups and stakeholders, some who may be extremely technical and some who are not technical. Having previous experience as a project/IT auditor (or alternatively a background as a programmer/systems analyst/project manager with a strong interest in security and controls design) would be advantageous, as would any exposure to Agile.

Your ability and experience working in IT Audit will help you achieve the positive outcomes we re striving for. If you have no audit or QA experience but strong IT project and/or BA experience, and you re interested in applying these skills in an assurance role, we d love to hear from you.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Transformation Assurance Manager, you will have strong technical auditing skills and advisory capability in programme assurance, IT and general business operations. This is a great chance to apply your strong general IT and business operations auditing experience to different business initiatives including our portfolio of major change projects.ᅡᅠ

You¬タルll be involved in multiple reviews in all respects from planning through to leading fieldwork, co-ordination and reporting to the Board Risk, Assurance and Audit committee and leading the development of resources, training and methodologies.

You will be a motivated self-starter who can assist in delivering the assurance plan to a high standard. You¬タルll also enjoy coaching, mentoring and leading by example to help develop your colleagues. ᅡᅠ

This role will suit someone who enjoys communicating and networking with a variety of people and has the ability to sort the 'wood from the trees¬タル within a government setting.ᅡᅠ
