About the Injury Prevention Manager, Regions role:

As the leader of a nationwide team of Senior Injury Prevention Specialists, you will be responsible for translating national strategies into regional work programmes and individual work plans. You will help develop and prioritise cross-sector and cross-enterprise Injury Prevention strategies, and provide governance and oversight to ensure that your team are delivering on injury prevention priorities, targets and outcomes.

Your ability to develop and manage effective working relationships with your ACC colleagues and our external partners through collaboration will be the key to success in this role. This role also demands a strong ability to influence others without direct authority to ensure that the focus remains on our Injury Prevention priorities and targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and lead a motivated, cohesive and capable team of Senior Injury Prevention Specialists who are clear on their purpose and priorities
  • Drive the development and maintenancce of a monitoring and evaluation framework ¬タモ including the associated portfolio performance reporting - ᅡᅠfor the Senior Injury Prevention Specialists
  • Ensure ACC injury prevention priorities, strategies and programmes achieve the required targets and outcomes and deliver the best return on investment possible
  • Ensure that Injury Prevention best practice, theories and models inform ACC¬タルs Injury Prevention strategies and programmes
  • Build and maintain strong connections with cross government and agency networks to ensure targets and outcomes are achieved
  • Influence and monitor regional relationships (both internally and externally) to ensure that the high standards of Injury Prevention practice are met
  • Support national Injury Prevention Portfolio Managers to incorporate a regional perspective into business cases and programmes
  • Monitor and report on progress against agreed strategic and operational initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, qualifications and skills:

  • Experience in leading and developing regionally dispersed teams
  • National programme delivery experience
  • Experience in building, maintaining and influencing through strong collaborative relationships
  • Ability to work strategically and influence operational outcomes through ᅡᅠinternal and external parties
  • Strong commercial acumen and demonstrable experience in using a variety of complex data sources to drive priorities and determine effectiveness
  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Knowledge of best practice approaches to Injury Prevention as well as ACC¬タルs legislative and policy environment

ᅡ아ᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠᅡᅠ A tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
