Senior Advisor - Communications (Fixed Term, Wellington / Central Region) at Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities , Multiple Locations

  • Fixed term until November 2023, Salary $123,648 pro rata

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

We are looking for a focused and community minded Senior Communication Advisor to play a critical role in bringing Kāinga Ora's strategic priorities to life, supporting our external communications. You will work closely with regional teams and provide both strategic and tactical communications support. This will be alongside providing proactive and reactive regional media support, content generation, and working with the Corporate Media Team on national issues and opportunities as needed.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Ability to partner with our place-based leaders and engagement teams to provide strategic advice and planning on risks and opportunities.
  • With experience working in an account management style basis, you'll deliver great communications planning and content to support our programme and our wider story.
  • Relevant tertiary or communications qualification, coupled with extensive communications experience, including leading communications programmes at programme level
  • Demonstrated aptitude for writing clearly, with the ability to analyse and distil strategic and technical concepts down into simple and clear language
  • Excellent people skills, with strengths in relationship management
  • Any experience with supporting engagement with local agencies and partners, particularly around infrastructure would be welcomed, but not essential
