Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
We are currently looking for a permanent People Partner due to an internal appointment based in our Wellington or Auckland office.
The People Partner will be a trusted partner and will offer HR advice and guidance while providing fresh insight and information to ensure our people make the best decisions. The role will also be accountable for enabling our business groups to develop and deliver on their current and future work plans whilst optimising the performance of their people.
As a People Partner, you will have a solid HR experience. We are looking for an HR generalist who can hit the ground running and who is used to working at pace. You will be comfortable working in the grey and anticipating the needs of the business keeping people at the heart of all that you do. Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
- A tertiary qualification in an HR discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Excellent relationship building skills to get to know the business and also influence best outcomes
- Sound knowledge of good ER practice with the practical ability to apply it within a complex organisation
- Proven experience advising on complex ER issues and wide range of employment solutions preferably in a public/government sector as an HR professional
- Ability to assess a situation based on HR best practice, knowledge of employment law, business needs and practical experience
- An ability to travel within NZ and be away from home from time to time
