Project Accountant at Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities , Multiple Locations

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

Our award winning Finance Team is looking to welcome a Project Accountant to work closely with the Senior Project Accountant and the relevant Business Group on project forecasting/budgeting, reporting, and capitalisation.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Supporting the relevant Project Team's finance and performance activities alongside the Senior Project Accountant by acting as their interface to the Finance Team
  • Supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and budget preparation for assigned projects
  • Ensuring proper accounting guidelines and processes are adhered to
  • Supporting asset capitalisation by ensuring the integrity of information provided
  • Enabling the right outcomes for Kāinga Ora by building and managing key relationships

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

In order to be successful in this challenging role you will be CA qualified with at least three years' project accounting experience. You will also bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, collect, organise and analyse complex data to provide information and enable decision-making
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
  • The ability to clearly and concisely convey information and ideas in both oral and written communication
  • Demonstrated an ongoing commitment to learning new skills
  • A collaborative, positive approach.
