Risk and Security Specialist at Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities , Wellington

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role 

Joining a supportive and dynamic team as Risk and Security Specialist, you will take ownership of managing the Technology Risk register as well as the technology risks. You will ensure these are up to date and managed in accordance with the risk rating. Key to this role will be to lead risk workshops, to document the findings and work alongside risk and control owners.

You will be organised and have good quality written capabilities as you will be responsible for ensuring that recommendations in Risk Memos and Certification and Accreditation certificates are documented and tracked to ensure that these are implemented or addressed at the appropriate time.

You will be responsible for capturing into a register and ensuring that all security test results, (penetration tests etc.) are allocated to owners and that these findings are being actively addressed.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring 

  • At least 6 years working experience in a Risk Management and or technical operations team with security experience
  • Hold, or working towards a security certification. (CRISC, CISM, CCSP or CISSP (ISC)2 or equivalent tertiary degree)
  • Experience with Risk Management principles and processes
  • Experience with public speaking and leading workshops, principally risk workshops.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, engaging with and leading outcomes.
  • Certification and Accreditation processes and experience would be beneficial
