Project Administrator at Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections), Wellington (Te Whanganui a Tara)

Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Christchurch Men's Prison (CMP) Redevelopment Programme is a multi-year phased infrastructure programme that will have a significant impact on the correctional system. The Programme will deliver new high security accommodation and supporting amenities for both staff and prisoners, significantly improving living and working conditions for prisoners and staff and enable CMP to support Department's strategy and successful rehabilitation and reintegration.   

We are looking for a Project Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Programme team, including managing diaries, coordinating meetings and travel, and handling logistics. You'll assist with document preparation, minute taking, and the creation of presentation materials, while also supporting procurement, budget management, and SAP financial reporting. Additionally, you'll help maintain both physical and digital files, identify process improvements, and handle general administration tasks as directed by the Programme Delivery Lead.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes, systems, and technology and experience in providing efficient and effective administrative support.
  • Advanced and demonstrated competence in computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to learn other packages if required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain practical systems to manage own workload and information.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

 

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The midpoint of the salary range is $71,651 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $60,904 - $85,982 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
