Nursing within Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) offers a rewarding and challenging practice setting, ideal for clinicians who are adaptable, organised, and strong communicators. Based at the Northland Region Corrections Facility, you'll deliver comprehensive primary health care in a dynamic environment.
Your work will include:
- Assessing and managing a wide range of health needs
- Physical and mental health care
- Alcohol and other drug (AOD) support
- Health education and promotion
- Acute care and emergency response
- No two days are the same, and you'll be supported to build and apply a broad clinical skillset
Mōu | About you
We're looking for a Registered Nurse seeking casual work in the Kaikohe area who brings:
- Recent clinical experience in primary or secondary health care
- A broad range of post-graduate clinical exposure
- Confidence assessing and responding to emergency situations
- A strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- A non-judgmental, inclusive approach to care
- Triage experience (desirable, but not essential)
- You must be a New Zealand resident to be eligible for this role
