The Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) group delivers critical digital and asset based services that support the day to day operation of Ara Poutama Aotearoa. As a Senior Business Analyst in IDA, you will ensure business needs are clearly understood and translated into practical, easy to understand solutions that deliver strong outcomes.
You'll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to clearly understand current state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define business requirements that enable effective and reliable outcomes. You'll be part of active delivery teams working on initiatives that modernise core digital platforms, improve how information flows across the organisation and enabling safer, more resilient services for staff and the people in our care. The work is varied, from early discovery and process design through to supporting delivery and change.
You will provide business process modelling and analysis and manage complex stakeholder relationships to ensure solutions are practical, well understood, and aligned with agreed objectives. You'll provide clear, evidence based advice on options, impacts, risks, and benefits, and support solution delivery through strong communication, documentation, and change support.

You'll bring the following with you to the role:
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst with strong knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability, with experience producing high‑quality business requirements, functional specifications, and as‑built documentation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- Experience with Practice Management systems (desirable)
- Experience implementing and working with Microsoft 365 solutions
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO)
Ngā painga | The benefits
The midpoint of the salary range is $123,511 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $104,985 - $148,214 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
