Mō te tūnga | About the role

Our Health, Safety and Wellbeing team are seeking an Advisor Injury Management to support our South Island operations.  In partnership with third party providers, you will enable early intervention in injury rehabilitation, and ensure our people are well supported to achieve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes.  You will also play a proactive role in promoting and supporting regional health initiatives aimed at reducing workplace injuries and minimising time lost.

This is a true stakeholder advisory role working closely with leaders and teams across the business, providing timely expert advice, coaching and guidance on injury management processes, while actively contributing to injury prevention initiatives, uplifting capability, and delivering training where required.

While this role is based at our Southern Regional Office in Christchurch, you will regularly travel to prison sites across Canterbury and must be comfortable working in this environment. The role also supports sites across the South Island, so occasional wider regional travel is required.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.

We're looking for a self-motivated and experienced injury management professional with exposure to ACC or similar frameworks, who is ready for a new challenge.

You are a confident communicator who engages effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and has the ability to build trusted relationships and influence across a complex environment. Your ability to provide clear, practical advice and navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy will set you up for success in this role.

To be successful, you will also bring:

• Experience supporting and/or managing wellbeing, health and safety within a complex, high-risk or safety-sensitive environment
• Demonstrated experience developing, monitoring, and reporting on service delivery performance measures
• Sound knowledge of injury management practices, including the ACC Accredited Employer Programme and audit requirements
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence in facilitating training, workshops or delivering presentations across a range of health and wellbeing topics
• Resilience and the ability to remain composed and effective when working in a challenging and complex environment
• A high level of discretion and confidentiality with the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity
• An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within the public sector
• A relevant tertiary qualification in injury management (or equivalent experience)

Ngā painga | The benefits

The midpoint of the salary range is $104,897 and the full range (85%-120%) is $89, 163 - $125, 877 per annum.  Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
