Mō te tūnga | About the role

As Manager Delivery Planning, you will play a critical leadership role within Infrastructure & Digital Assets, ensuring Corrections' property and infrastructure projects are strategically developed, thoroughly scoped, and ready for successful delivery.

Reporting to the National Manager Project Delivery, you will lead a team responsible for planning and developing a diverse portfolio of capital works, maintenance, and infrastructure projects across New Zealand. You will work closely with asset managers, project delivery teams, operational leaders, and external advisors to translate strategic investment priorities into achievable programmes of work.

This role sits at the intersection of asset management, capital planning, and project delivery. You will provide leadership, oversight, and expertise to ensure projects are effectively investigated, costed, prioritised, and planned, while balancing operational needs, budget constraints, and long-term asset strategies.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Significant experience leading property, infrastructure, construction, or asset-based project planning in a large and complex environment
  • Strong programme and project planning capability, including managing multiple priorities and competing stakeholder expectations
  • Experience developing business cases, investment proposals, and project scopes
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and quality assurance processes
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly to a wide range of audiences
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Building Act and regulatory approval processes

 

Ngā painga | The benefits

The midpoint of the salary range is $171,226 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $145,543 - $205,472 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
