About the Role
As a Senior Analyst, you will provide specialist technical expertise to the national reference pricing work programme. This includes supporting activity-based costing data collections, developing reference costs and hospital pricing, and ensuring accuracy and quality across key datasets used to inform national funding models.
You will lead modelling, quantitative analysis, and continuous improvement across either our casemix or non-casemix workstreams, working closely with stakeholders across Te Whatu Ora. You will also contribute to other analytical workstreams, including broader pricing analysis, costing analytics, and system improvement initiatives as required.
The role requires a strong technical background, a collaborative approach, and the ability to work strategically to deliver high-quality insights in a complex environment.
About you
As a Senior Analyst, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar analytical role.
- Experience with activity-based costing and pricing methods in a healthcare setting.
- Strong research, analysis and advisory skills, including proficiency in Excel, SAS, R or equivalent tools.
- Ability to interpret complex issues and communicate them clearly to a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders and supporting the delivery of work programmes.
- Strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to make connections across data and programmes of work.
Desired:
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake and/or Qlik.
