About the Role
The Pacific Bowel Screening Delivery Lead will drive a collaborative, nation-wide approach to increasing bowel screening participation and engagement with Pacific communities. This role will be based within the Pacific Public Health Directorate of the National Public Health Service (NPHS), working closely with Pacific Public Health teams across the country, National Bowel Screening Programme (national/regional/district teams), wider Health New Zealand teams, health sector partners and Pacific communities to deliver the Pacific bowel screening action plan and work programme.

The NPHS within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

You bring experience in designing and delivering impactful programmes, and you thrive in environments where partnership, cultural understanding, and innovation are key. With the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and translate insights into action, you are motivated to make a meaningful difference at a national level and contribute to better health outcomes for Pacific whānau and communities.
- Proven experience leading and delivering programmes, ideally within public health or equity-focused initiatives
- Strong relationships with Pacific communities, with demonstrated cultural competence and community engagement experience
- Ability to work collaboratively across national, regional, and community stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes
- Skilled in using data, insights, and evidence to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and co-design with diverse audiences
