About the Role

As a Clinical Governance Coordinator, you will work as a member of the clinical governance team and be responsible for coordinating the establishment, implementation and maintenance of national clinical governance committees. You will work in partnership with clinical governance committee Chairs to operationalise the clinical governance structure, support committee Chairs in preparing focused agendas and facilitating effective, well-structured meeting and produce high-quality minutes that accurately capture decisions, actions, and key discussion points.

About the Team/Service/ Location

This role will report to the Business Manager within the Quality and Patient Safety team, Office of the Executive National Director, Clinical They will work closely with the National Clinical Governance Manager and Clinical Governance Senior Advisors.

About you                                                                                                       

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with strong communication skills, who is able to build rapport quickly and manage tasks efficiently. You'll bring the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and a readiness to adapt during times of change.  We are looking for someone to support the team through coordination, reporting, meeting management, and preparation of presentations and documents.

  • Proven delivery of secretariat and coordination support to committees or work programmes in a dynamic, complex environment
  • Excellent prioritisation skills, an ability to work under pressure and manage a range of activities concurrently
  • Excellent knowledge of, and experience using, the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Copilot)
  • The ability to deliver work of a consistently high professional standard, including presentation, meeting deadlines and accuracy of information and data content, grammar and spelling
  • A collaborative approach and communication style
  • Excellent relationship management skills, including when working remotely from key team members and stakeholders. Able to establish, build and maintain respectful, effective working relationships with all stakeholders to accomplish goals
  • Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
