Accounts Receivable Clerk at Te Whatu Ora, All Locations

About the Role 

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you'll play an important role in ensuring customer invoicing, receipting, and account management activities are processed accurately and efficiently. Working within the national Finance team, you'll help maintain strong financial processes and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll process invoices and credit requests, reconcile payments, allocate receipts to customer accounts, and maintain direct debit arrangements. You'll also act as a first point of contact for customer invoice enquiries, helping to resolve issues and provide a positive customer experience. Working with high transaction volumes, you'll use your attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed timeframes. Alongside this, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a collaborative team environment focused on delivering quality outcomes.

About you 

As an experienced accounts receivable professional, you'll bring strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy transactional environment.

  • At least two years' experience in high-volume accounts receivable processing and receipting.
  • Strong administration and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
