Join a team of psychologists across Auckland and make a real impact. In this role, you'll work with diverse populations to support positive change and enhance community safety.
Whether based in central Auckland, Manukau, or one of our correctional facilities, you'll work directly with individuals at high risk of reoffending, using a range of tailored psychological interventions. Services are provided to both men and women across prison and community settings.

We are seeking a psychologist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in challenging situations and is dedicated to promoting positive change within the corrections system. You are a skilled communicator with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You excel in professional environments where teamwork and mutual support are valued. You are proactive in seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth, eager to contribute to the outcomes of initiatives like Hōkai Rangi, which focuses on achieving positive outcomes for Māori within the justice system.
Whether you're just starting your career or seeking to advance in a development-focused service, you hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical or Forensic Psychology) and are registered with the NZ Psychologist Board in the clinical/counselling or general scope of practice.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for the role is $83,286 - $133,370 per annum. Frontline Psychologists also have the ability to work towards additional allowances and allocated professional development funding. We may also offer flexible and/or part-time options for working hours. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
In addition to your salary, you will receive a $2,000 annual professional development allowance and become eligible for five weeks of annual leave after one year of service, increasing to six weeks after four years of continuous service.
