Manager - Business Finance, Analytics and Insights at Te Whatu Ora, Auckland

Permanent, full-time position based on the North Shore, Auckland (Waitemata)

Lead a high-performing finance, analytics, and insights function in one of New Zealand's largest organisations.

About the Role

As the Manager, Business Finance, Analytics and Insights, you'll lead the Business Finance, Analytics, and Insights function at Waitematā, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and business intelligence. This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for maintaining strong financial integrity, enabling data-driven decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.

You'll work closely with the Group Manager Finance and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and key conduit for financial insights. Your team will deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting, while also developing innovative dashboards and analytics to support operational and strategic outcomes. Alongside this, you'll lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.

About you

As an experienced finance leader, you'll bring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic thinking.

  • Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Extensive experience in senior financial management roles, including team leadership.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at a senior level.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience driving innovation in financial reporting, analytics, or systems.
