Clinical Nurse Specialist - ENT and Head & Neck at Bay of Plenty District Health Board (Tauranga/Whakatane), Bay of Plenty

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Ear, Nose & Throat, and Head & Neck (ENT and H&N) is employed to lead and advance client centred care, education, and service improvement across the Bay of Plenty District.
The CNS ENT and H&N is responsible for leading nursing management and coordination of patient centred services at Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals; along with interdisciplinary clinics at Kawerau and Opotiki. In this role you will use expert assessment skills in the examination of ears. You will be developing and advancing specialty knowledge and skills of the Specialty Clinical Nurse and nursing teams.
The CNS role is also key to achieving our obligations aligned to the Ministry of Health's Faster Cancer Treatment initiative. Using evidenced based knowledge, you will coordinate care assisting patients and whānau to navigate their health journey to achieve optimal outcomes.
This is a permanent 0.8 FTE vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight.

Our preferred candidate will have:
- Significant experience in the nursing assessment and the examination of ears
- Experience in nursing coordination and leadership
- Relevant post graduate qualification or training
- A current NZ nursing registration, current practising certificate
