Registered Nurse - Special Care Baby Unit at Bay of Plenty District Health Board (Tauranga/Whakatane), Bay of Plenty

The Bay of Plenty District Health Board is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team in Whakatānes Special Care Baby Unit. This is a permanent 0.9 FTE position, working 72 hours per fortnight.
The Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) is a Level 2 unit with 4 cots. We provide short-term high dependency care including CPAP and stabilisation of infants requiring intensive care before transfer to a NICU. We work closely with whānau to provide excellent care to both mothers and babies.
Kō Matariki is a secondary care unit with approx. 650 births PA. The community we provide care to is a rural and semi-rural area with a 60% Māori population.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team nursing environment which requires organisational and communication skills. This role will be based in SCBU and will work as part of the Kō Matariki Maternity ward team too. If you are compassionate and have experience working with neonates, then we'd love to hear from you!
