This is a full-time fixed term position until 2 July 2022.
As the Team Lead you will be responsible for leading a designated Allied Health Team to achieve excellence in service provision. You will be reporting directly to the Associate Director of Allied Health (ADAH), working in collaboration with other Allied Health Team and Professional Leads and will be highly involved in the direction to drive improvements in service.
The role encompasses the operational management of the Community and Outpatient Allied Health teams. This includes arranging the day to day service provision, leave and recruitment management and driving quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the strategic direction of allied health and the BOPDHB. Allied Health leadership in Whakatāne hospital is a tight and supportive group and you will work closely alongside the other Team Leads and the ADAH.
A key focus for the Bay of Plenty District Health Board is to build a sustainable workforce at Whakatāne Hospital whilst achieving equity in health outcomes for our Eastern Bay community.

Our preferred candidate will have
- A qualification in Allied Health with at least 5 years' clinical experience
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Proven experience in developing and managing a team in a DHB environment would be an advantage.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills
