We currently have a vacancy for a permanent part-time 0.6 FTE Vision and Hearing Technician to work 48 hours per fortnight.
This position is based in Tauranga but may require travel to Whakatāne as needed.
Vision and Hearing Technicians (VHTs) are an integral part of ensuring children in our community have the best opportunities relating to their vision and hearing. You will need to have a natural empathy with our pre-school and school age clients.
You will be responsible for coordinating visits to preschools and other venues to deliver the Vision and Hearing screening programme.
You will have relevant experience in Health, Education, Clerical or Community fields.
The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) Vision and Hearing Strand will be an asset although not essential.
