Community of Learning: Maternal Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (COL MICAMHS).
Tihore Mai I Uta Tihore Mai I Tai – Early Intervention school-based Mental Health service: Whakatāne Kahui Ako
A kahui ako is also known as a Community of Learning or a cluster of schools usually in a geographical area.
This position will work with the Whakatāne Kāhui Ako within its Learning Support Delivery model to ensure that tamariki with mental health and wellbeing needs are identified, and interventions are put into place to support their emotional and mental health resilience from a whānau perspective. This is a permanent, full time position.
So, if you are passionate about providing mental health early intervention and prevention to tamariki in Years 1-8 within a Kāhui Ako (cluster of schools), and you are innovative and creative and comfortable with working primarily in a schools-based setting then we want to hear from you!
The successful candidate will be an experienced Child & Adolescent Mental Health Professional ideally with knowledge of the Whakatāne community and the competency to work effectively within diverse communities. Relevant skills in individual, whānau and group work are essential.
