We are recruiting a Specialist Rheumatologist to join the team here in the Bay of Plenty. We provide healthcare for a rapidly growing population in one of the most beautiful regions in New Zealand. Our Rheumatology service currently provides care to people from across the district at ambulatory clinics within our hospital sites in Tauranga and Whakatāne.
The Rheumatology team consists of Physicians, Specialist Nurses and Allied Health staff. If you are interested in utilising your specialist knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a diverse population - this is an opportunity to contribute to the direction the service will take to meet future health care needs.
As we move towards the Health NZ system redesign, we are aware of the opportunities this provides to adapt and deliver services that are accessible and responsive to people with both acute and long- term health challenges. This role is suited to someone who is enthusiastic around service improvement and working in new ways as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council or be training in NZ and with 9 months or less of advanced training remaining to achieve FRACP.
