Te Kahui Ako o Te Puke

Community of Learning Maternal Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (COL MICAMHS) Tauranga.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

A Kahui Ako is also known as a Community of Learning or a cluster of schools usually in a geographical area.

This position will work with the Te Puke Kāhui Ako alongside its Learning Support Delivery model to ensure that priority learners are identified, and interventions are put into place to support their emotional and mental health needs from a whānau perspective.

This is a permanent full-time position however a job share can be considered for the right person.

Mōu - About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Mental Health Professional ideally with knowledge of the Te Puke community and the competency to work effectively within a diverse community as the Te Puke kahui ako has high numbers of Maori, pasifika and indian whanau. Relevant skills in child & adolescent individual, whānau and group work are essential.

So, if you are passionate about providing mental health early intervention and prevention to tamariki and whānau from pre-school to year 8 within a Kāhui Ako (cluster of schools), and you are innovative and creative and comfortable with working primarily in a schools-based setting then we want to hear from you!
