He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
You will provide assistance to the midwifery and nursing team as required to ensure that a high level of maternity care is maintained at all times. Tasks are predominantly housekeeping, clerical and basic care of birthing women and babies. All MSW work is carried out under the direction and delegation of a registered midwife/nurse.
Ko Matariki, the Whakatāne Maternity Unit is a person and whānau focused unit providing personalised, quality maternity care to birthing women and their families.

He Kōrero mōu - About You
To work as a Maternity Support Worker, candidates must be currently enrolled in a New Zealand Bachelor of Midwifery programme. As this is a casual role, you will be able to work between semesters throughout your entire midwifery training.
