He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist with a musculoskeletal background to transform patient care in our Bay of Plenty communities. We have an exciting new service which provides orthopaedic patients with earlier and more appropriate pathways for intervention. An experienced physiotherapist is required to triage and assess these orthopaedic patients and determine their best pathway.
Alongside this, you will provide Clinical Leadership to a team of musculoskeletal physiotherapists working in our outpatient clinics across the Eastern Bay. You will be providing mentorship and service oversight, working alongside the Team Lead and wider outpatient service teams.
He Korero mōu - About You
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' postgraduate experience in Musculoskeletal and/or Orthopaedics in either public or private sectors. You will need to demonstrate expert clinical skills in assessment, clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis and collaborative management recommendations of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal conditions including surgical and non-surgical pathways of care.
There will be an expectation to spend time in Orthopaedic clinics alongside Consultants in order to foster relationships and build trust between clinicians. You will be working both in the hospital and within a community setting in this wide-ranging role.
