He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are interested to hear from Registered Nurses with relevant recent ICU/HDU experience and a passion for coaching.
Working at Whakatāne Hospital, you will be part of a small, highly skilled, and supportive team in a provincial hospital providing 24/7 medical cover. Our Acute Care unit is a 11 bedded area comprising of a 6 bedded level one ICU/HDU/CCU and 5 bedded general admission area with added monitoring capability. We cater for both adult and paediatric patients from the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
A key focus for Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is to build a sustainable workforce at Whakatāne Hospital whilst achieving equity in health outcomes for our Eastern Bay community.

Our preferred candidate will have:
- Intensive care and/or high dependency experience
- A current New Zealand nursing registration, current practising certificate
