This is a newly created executive nursing leadership role that will work collaboratively with the Chief Nursing Officer - Hauora a Toi, and focus on driving transformation of nursing systems, workforce and models of care to achieve Toi Ora – flourishing people, whānau and communities in the Bay of Plenty.

He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Chief Nursing Officer Toi Ora and the Chief Nursing Officer Hauora a Toi will work side by side and are critical to developing and delivering our nursing workforce strategy, as well as the integration of Te Whatu Ora | Health NZ, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty nursing systems and services with primary, community and aged care. These key roles will ultimately contribute to greater synergy across nursing disciplines to align with the five key shifts of health system transformation, as well as responding to regional needs, and uplifting Māori nursing leadership.

He Kōrero mōu - About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Senior Nursing Clinician with extensive experience in large complex health care organisations in NZ
- Confident in Tikanga Māori with a deep knowledge of the articles and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and demonstrated ability to build relationships with Mana Whenua
- Knowledge and experience of Māori models, frameworks and modalities of health care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of issues and challenges in the nursing profession and workforce
- Knowledge and experience working in complex health settings with internal and external community stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of NZ
- Post Graduate Qualification in Nursing, Health Sciences, Health Leadership or Health Management
