About the Role
A fixed-term position has become available to support the delivery of high-quality care in our Emergency Department based at Tauranga hospital. Working in a fast-paced and diverse environment, you will be a part of a dedicated team providing 24-hour emergency care to adults and children.
You will collaborate with a highly skilled team, including Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and experienced Registered Nurses, supported by Health Care Assistants, Clerical staff, and the medical team. Comprehensive orientation and professional development opportunities will prepare you to deliver exceptional care in this essential service.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our ED is a vital part of the community, providing care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Located in the stunning Bay of Plenty, the region is renowned for its golden beaches, bush-clad mountains, and vibrant community, offering an ideal balance of professional growth and lifestyle.
About you
The ideal candidate is a skilled and adaptable professional with a collaborative approach to care delivery. Previous acute care experience is beneficial, but we also welcome those eager to grow their skills in this area.
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Previous Emergency Department or acute care experience (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
