About the Role
Step into a rewarding and unique work environment in the Children's Ward based at Tauranga Hospital. This 22-bed unit provides family-centred care for infants, children, and adolescents aged 0-15 years, specializing in General Medicine, Oncology, Palliative Care, and a range of surgical services, including Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, and General Surgery.
Additional opportunities include working in the Child Assessment Unit and Children's Day Stay Unit, enhancing the variety and scope of your paediatric nursing career. In this role, you will assess and deliver nursing care tailored to the medical, surgical, emotional, social, cultural, and whānau needs of each child.

About you
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for paediatrics and a commitment to providing exceptional care. You'll bring compassion, strong clinical skills, and a collaborative mindset to our dynamic team.
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Experience in paediatrics or a related area of nursing.
- Ability to deliver culturally sensitive, family-centred care.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
