About the Role
Working with an experienced and diverse team we are looking for an individual who must be able to work over a fortnightly roster including weekends in our Kitchen Department. This is a Casual position, working when required. In this role we work as a team, everyone has the responsibility to maintain the kitchen to a clean standard.
This role involves many tasks and an opportunity to grow your skills on the job.
Some of the tasks involved are:
- Delivery newspapers and water jugs to patients
- Handing out menu's to patients
- Collecting trays on food trollies
- Serving cups of tea and coffee to patients
- Unloading and dishwashing duties
- Tray line duties serving desserts
About you
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Show initiative
- Follow instructs easily
- Good work ethic and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
