About the Role

As a Psychiatric Registrar, you will be involved in providing psychiatric services across Tauranga and Whakatane hospitals. The role offers both clinical work and training opportunities within the RANZCP-accredited programme, giving registrars the opportunity to progress through both basic and advanced training. The positions are based primarily in Tauranga, with one role offering rotation to Whakatane Hospital for 13 weeks.

About the Team/Service

The Psychiatric Team at Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals is a supportive, multi-disciplinary team that works to deliver high-quality psychiatric services to the Bay of Plenty region. You will be joining a dedicated group of professionals committed to providing excellent care and developing the skills of psychiatric registrars.

About you

As a Psychiatric Registrar, you will have a strong interest in pursuing further training in psychiatry, either in basic or advanced stages. You will be committed to personal and professional development and eager to contribute to a dynamic team. Whether you are already enrolled in the RANZCP programme or seeking to develop your skills further, this position is ideal for registrars who are keen to expand their experience in psychiatry.
