About the Role

As a Urology Registrar – Non-Training at Tauranga Hospital, you will join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team in the Urology department, responsible for managing a diverse range of patient cases. You will play an essential role in supporting junior staff and providing excellent care for patients under the guidance of senior medical professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain extensive experience in a major hospital setting while working in a region that offers a great work-life balance.

The Urology Department at Tauranga Hospital is part of a wider health service serving the Bay of Plenty region. 

Our multidisciplinary team consists of dedicated professionals committed to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. We are known for our collaborative approach and our focus on education and professional development.

About you

As a Urology Registrar, you will have experience working at the registrar level and a keen interest in pursuing a career in Urology. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. 

The role requires someone who is not only passionate about Urology but also enjoys teaching and supporting junior medical staff. To succeed in this position, you must have the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Hold full General Scope of Practice with no restrictions with MCNZ or be eligible to apply for provisional general scope of practice.
  • Hold proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • Hold a current ACLS certificate and current indemnity insurance cover.
  • A strong team player who can communicate effectively and provide support to junior staff.
